Hi! Due to the fact that I have a few (excellent) Patreon supporters (THANK YOU! X A MILLION), I am now obligated to release a “side” of music per month. For November 2023, I was initially going to release half an Opposite Day album, and while that would have been ready in time, I was advised otherwise on the release strategy (it’ll still be released on Patreon — just later).
This left me pondering what of the several other partially complete projects to put out. I immediately became exhausted from the pondering, so I decided to instead do a brand new banjitar and electronic album. After my blitz of gigs ended a week ago 10/25, I started working on this 7-song 16-minute opus.
It was originally just gonna be me getting ridiculous with my toys at home by myself, but as fortune had it, Zack Humphrey (Drummer for Megafauna and Dream Eater) was using my rehearsal shed last Thursday to practice by himself for another band’s gig. I asked him to extend his labors an additional 20 minutes and jam out some beats for a couple of these tunes, which he did brilliantly (“Explode Forever” and “Hind Mind”, which are honestly, my favorites. Nothing against the soulless robots who drummed on the other songs).
Further ado being the useless degenerate we know it to be, here’s the music. Comes out Thurs Nov 2 on bandcamp for $5, but my $3 Patreon subscribers got it today.
If you’ve read this far, I’m sure I have something to thank you for besides reading this far so: 2 more thank yous.
